Adriana's Squamish Wedding - Hair and Makeup

Adriana was an absolute dream wedding client to work with from start to finish - so courteous, clear in her wedding hair and makeup vision and great at communicating exactly what she wanted to achieve for her wedding day beauty.

From all the weddings I provided hair and makeup for in 2025, she really stood out to me thanks to her calm and organised demeanour, her gratitude toward everyone involved on the wedding day and the loving energy she radiated throughout the celebration. Talented Squamish wedding photographer Darby Magill captured this beautifully in every image. While I always love creating elevated bridal beauty looks, Adriana is the perfect example of how the real magic comes from the confidence, joy, and energy a bride brings to her wedding day.

Bridal Hair & Makeup Preview in Whistler

Adriana travelled from Vancouver to Whistler for her bridal hair and makeup preview around three weeks before her wedding day. During our three-hour trial session, we explored all her preferences for her wedding hair and makeup look and refined every detail to ensure she felt completely confident for the big day in Squamish.

She wanted to embrace her naturally beautiful curls, so we used a slim curling wand selectively to enhance and define her natural curl pattern only where needed. To perfect the look, we finished with lightweight curl-enhancing products that maintained softness and movement. Adriana also brought along a wedding hair clip to the preview session so we could experiment with placement and photograph the style ahead of time to see how it would appear on camera.

For her bridal makeup, we kept everything soft, radiant, and natural - a signature approach for my wedding hair and makeup clients. My philosophy is always to create makeup that feels fresh, seamless, and effortless, using coverage only where necessary to enhance natural beauty rather than mask it. Natural rose gold eyeshadows, soft cluster lashes, cream blush, and a tinted gloss completed Adriana’s bridal makeup look, finished with cream highlighter and setting spray for a glowing, long-lasting finish.

Adriana's Stunning Squamish Wedding Day

On a warm and sunny Saturday in late July 2025, I travelled the Sea to Sky Highway from Whistler to one of my favourite wedding venues in Squamish - Sunwolf Riverside Resort.

Sunwolf offers a beautiful getting ready space right beside their main office, and surrounded be forest views on all sides. The space allowed my team and I to arrive early, set up comfortably and create a calm and organised environment for Adriana and her bridal party throughout the morning.

Post wedding, Adriana dropped her wedding bouquet to my Squamish drop off location to have her special wedding florals pressed, preserved and framed with my wedding bouquet preservation company, Flora & Frame Whistler. We made one main frame for her, and a smaller additional frame as a suprise gift for Adriana's Mom. Brides who book their wedding hair and makeup with me receive 10% bouquet preservation services.
